本日は、使役動詞 make の発展用法を扱います。

【研究】①使役動詞は、一般に「間接的に～させる」を意味します。「直接手を下して～させる」の意味では、能格的動詞 (ergative verb) を使用します。②よって上記の構文は、能動的に表現すると、...was there a bug that opened the gate...になります。
