本日は、「同形の動詞を持つ名詞」が out または off を伴う用法です。

・A baby gave out a yell a few times.
(赤ん坊は数回大きな声で泣きました。)

【研究】1. give off は「臭気 [蒸気・光など] を放つ」という意味になります。 2. be given off のように受動態も取れます。
